Campaign to Boost Local Food and Local Economy Set to Repeat!

Shenandoah Forum will once again support the local farm economy this summer with our second $10 a Week Challenge. If each household in Shenandoah County spends just $10 a week on locally grown fruit, produce, eggs, meat and other products, we could generate $9.6 million in new revenue for our local farmers and neighbors every year.

“Your commitment to Eat Local Buy Local will give a big boost to county farmers, our way of life and be a treat at your table.”

WANT TO HELP GROW THE LOCAL ECONOMY?

If each household in Shenandoah County spends just $10 a week on locally grown agricultural products, $9.6 million could be generated in new revenue to our farming friends and neighbors.

Buying fresh and local also provides you and your family with a greater variety of exceptionally fresh and tasty local fruits, vegetables and meat than what is found at our chain grocery stores.

WE INVITE YOU TO TAKE THE $10 A WEEK CHALLENGE!

Explore with your family how to spend at least $10 each week on products grown in your community. Spend at least $10 a week for 10 different weeks from June 1 through October 19, 2013 and you have completed our challenge.
